Unanswered: Login Failure when connecting to SQL Server

I am a new user of SQL Server.

Because I want to upsize an Access DB to a SQL DB.

    I just Install SQL Server.
During install, i have never been asked for login
    informations.

    Following a upsising process,
I want to create an ODBC DNS.

In the ODBC creation, at some place it ask for
Login ID and Pasword to connect to SQL Server.

The I get this error message :
[ODBC SQL Server Driver][SQL Server]Login failed for
user 'pierre_sql'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server.

I gave all privileges to my users, and with any user,
    I get the same message.
I tried Win 2000 users, or a new user created in SQL Server
    with all priviledges.(pierre_sql)

    I cannot continue my work.

Thanks for any help on this subject.

    Pierre.

    Thanks you very much.
    The solution was there.

By default SQL Server is installed with
    authentication for Windows only.

And in my case I needed Authentication for SQL ser ver and Windows.
