Unanswered: Error :SQL30081N A communication error has been detected.

Hi i have installed DB2 universal database Personal Edition(Single User) version 8. Am getting the following error when i try to access remote db.
"SQL30081N A communication error has been detected. Communication protocol being used: "TCP/IP". Communication API being used: "SOCKETS". Location where the error was detected: "". Communication function detecting the error: "recv". Protocol specific error code(s): "10054", "*", "0". SQLSTATE=08001"

Can any one put some light on this... as to y its happenning.. we even started the db2 service again with port no i.e db2jstrt 2020.. but still its giving same error..

Am using Jboss3.0.4)_Tomcat4.1.12 and it also gave error when i used connection url "jdbc:db2://hostname:2020/database". "It says apparently wrong url given"

    Thanks in advance.

I do not think personal edition will let you connect remotely , try the
    EE edition
