    Unanswered: Foreign language support

We need to store Japanese and Chinese characters in the same database, same table, same column in a SQL 7.0 database.

I have tried loading some Japanese data, but it loads and stores Junk characters. We are using nvarchar for the column which stores Japanese characters. It is only required to store Japanese characters for only one or two columns in the table.

Anybody who has done this ? Any ideas ? Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks very much.

    Hi,
There are two things to be noted :
firstly you should have chinese and japanese installed on u'r machine
and secondly in inserts you have to specify N before inserts like:
insert into table (test) values (N'test')

    regards,
    Harshal.
