Question Unanswered: Cursors & Locking on the table?

I want to know more about Cursors and Locking in VB. Where can I get info regarding this?. Assume, if I set ADO cursor type to Dynamic and execute a select sql on a table, subsequent update by another user on that table, how this update reflects on the ADO recordset?

    Thanks

    Hi nmr,

The actual locking information in stored in the .ldb file associated with your .mdb database. There are various utilities available on the web to read and/or clear the locking file.

General locking information usually revolves around "pessimistic" and "optimistic" locking keywords. Microsoft knowledgebase search should help.

    Good luck,
