    Unanswered: Restore problem

I've done a backup online with

db2 backup db test online to /tmp/test

    When I execute the command

    db2 restore database test user test1 from test.0.testinst.node0000.catn0000.20030211111955.0 01

and I get the next error message:

SQL1005N The database alias "<name>" already exists in either the local database directory or the system database directory.

    So I execute the command

    db2 uncatalog database test1

and re-execute the same command, and I get the next error message

SQL1042C An unexpected system error occurred.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks in advance,

    Re: Restore problem

Do not specify the whole image location just specify the directory where you stored your backup. You will however have to specify the timestamp information if there are more than one images under that directory e.g.

db2 restore database test user test1 from /home/backup taken at 20030211111955

as this is an online backup you have to issue rollforward command as well.

try the approch above or even better take a look at the db2 manual for the whole format of this command.
