    Unanswered: Lock for trigger

    We need to drop and create trigger many times a day...
    Db2 doesn't allow the statement deactivate ...like Oracle...

    Does a create trigger statemente lock something?

    I'm trying to create the function to test if trigger is disabled (the second way descripted in the draft)....but I cannot!
    I'm using Db2 ver 6...is that a problem?

    I think the syntax (and possibly the capabilities) of UDF creation is different for version 6. Check the documentation for the "CREATE FUNCTION" statement in the v6 documentation.

    Note that the UDF in example 2 is only for convenience, you could use the actual SQL in the trigger and skip using the UDF.
