    Unanswered: dbms_stats

    Hai

    On oracle 8i onwards dbms_stats package recomended for collect the statistics needed by cbo.In order to store statistics created table called xxx.Please explan the below attributes(exampe: what is c1,c2,n1,n2...ch1)

    I haven't a clue. This is what the Oracle documentation says:

    CREATE_STAT_TABLE Procedure
    This procedure creates a table with name stattab in ownname's schema which is capable of holding statistics. The columns and types that compose this table are not relevant as it should be accessed solely through the procedures in this package.

    So I guess that means "don't worry your pretty little head about it!"
