Unanswered: Appending string to Column in Select query

    Hi,

Could you please let me know how can I append a string to a query output. For e.g. ,
    Consider a table with 2 rows :
    Emp_no Name
    1 Test
    2 Test1

I want to select a column which will give me output as 1;test and likewise. In short I want to concatenate as we do in oracle with || sign.

    Thankx and regards,
    Deven.

    Why doesn't append work?
I use always || or !! to concatenate strings....
