    Unanswered: case expression

    hi,

    me again...

    I have the following code in a function:

    CASE when anrede like ''0'' then briefanrede := ''Dr '',
    when anrede like ''1'' then briefanrede := ''Prof''

    END;

    and get parse errors.
    What am I missing? The syntax is wrong I guess, but where. Could not find any example of use.

    thanks (again!)

    Read in the following

    http://www.mainframesupport.dk/tips/tip0207.html

    Also, the syntax in the expression part of your code should be

    ... then :xxx = 'yyy'

    NOte where the : goes
