    Question Unanswered: idle session's

    hello,
we have the problem, that one application do not cancel the connection to the oracle 9i database (linux). It open for every run (every 2 Min) a new session. The client for the program is installed on a seperat computer. There are other user's that use the same user (schema) to connect the database. That's the reason, i must change something on the client. Is there a way to say the client "after nnn idle_time kill the session"? Thanks for any hints or ideas.

It will show you how to detect idle sessions and how to automaically clean them up (kill them).

    Good luck!
