    Unanswered: Can't move through RS!?

    I'm using Access & VBA, here is my SQL string;

    sql = "SELECT Production.SerialNo, Orders.CustID, PartDesc.Description, Production.PolType, MenuProdTable.Done " & _
    "FROM ((Production INNER JOIN Orders ON Production.OrderNo = Orders.OrderNo) INNER JOIN PartDesc ON Production.PartNo = PartDesc.Partno) INNER JOIN MenuProdTable ON Production.SerialNo = MenuProdTable.ProdNo " & _
    "WHERE (((MenuProdTable.Done) >= WeekDate('" & financeweek & "', '" & taxyear & "') And (MenuProdTable.Done) <= WeekDate('" & financeweek & "', '" & taxyear & "') + 7) And ((MenuProdTable.MenuID) = 7));"

    (I understand that won't really mean anything to anyone but still....)

    I then have;

    <bla bla>

    Set RS = CurrentDb.OpenRecordset(sql)

    If I try to use RS.EOF or RS.MoveFirst I get the error "Object doesn't support this property or method"

    Why can't I move through this recordset but I can others!?

    I appreciate it's a pretty complicated SQL string!

    Thanks in advance!

    Ste

    Edit: The SQL string is definatley working, I just can't move through it!

    Try DIMming and SETting the sql as a querydef and then SETting a recordset to that. Help file shows example.
