Unanswered: Primary key violation after replication
We recently replicated a database using merge replication. There is only one subscriber. After the replication had run for about a week we started receiving the following error message any time that we tried to insert a record into the table. (Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PK__MaterialUsed__6EF57B66'. Cannot insert duplicate key in object 'MaterialUsed'.) This only seems to be happening on this single table and only on the publisher side. We can still insert records into the table on the subscriber side.
We are using auto generation of identity values for the publisher and the subscriber. We have no triggers on this table. This table has many inserts and deletes. The merge agent is set to run every minute. I tried to insert a record into this table using both query analyzer and Enterprise Manager but I get the same error message. I have run the ususal checks like dbcc checktable, dbcc checkdb but have found not errors.
Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
