Question Unanswered: The best way to display additional information?

    Hi everyone,

I have a main form and a subform for entering data. The entry is selected from a combobox. I would like when click (or GetFocus) on an entry to display additional information (description of a product or a service) in a popup window. Currently the "description" is a memo field in a table underlying the main form.

I was trying using MsgBox to pupup when OnFocus. My first attempts didn't work. Is there a better way to do this? Or, how do I go about this problem? Thanks!!!

I had problems with the GotFocus event as well.

Have you tried the On Enter Event?

    Hi Machado,

No, I did not try to use On Enter event. I found a solution that sort of works for now. Instead of MsgBox i use a popup form. My subform lists different items and in one of the text field OnDoubleClick event I entered a simple command line:

DoCmd.OpenForm "My pop up form", acNormal, (here I use the WHERE condition to reference the record ID).

    Hope this help,
