    Hi,

    Try this

    net start oracleservice<dbname>
    lsnrctl start
    exit

    Replace the db name with your oracle SID

    Do I put the SID in "<>" brackets or would I just do:

    C:\>NET START ORACLESERVICESID

    Hi,
    yes. you have to put your oracle SID between the
    angular brackets

    Code:
    C:\>NET START ORACLESERVICENOVICEORA
