    Question Unanswered: HELP on Teradata: MultiLoad

    Hi everybody,

    I would really appreciate any help or tip for loading a pipe ("|") delimited file into a Teradata table using its MultiLoad utility. A simple example would be great.

    We specified the input file FORMAT as "VARTEXT", and specified all data fields as VARCHAR, but we always got an error when inserting records.

    Our data files look like this:
    2008110200|2942256||||||||

    Value of the first column: 2008110200
    Value of the second column: 2942256
    Values of the remaining nine columns are NULL

    Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you so much.

    Regards,
    lu9603

    Hi Nanaiah,

    Thanks for replying. This problem has been resolved, and frankly, I forgot the details already. It was 2/2003, and it has been a while...

    Thanks all the same...
