    Red face Unanswered: interval datatype...

    What does the following statement do...

    current year to day - interval (86) day (3) to day

    does it mean that 3 days are subtracted for todays date...
    correct me if I am wrong

    Nope. It means subtract 86 days. The (3) is the number of significant digits in the INTERVAL number of days, so it maxes out at 999.

    Interval is a pretty tricky data type, so if you are planning to work with it, study up and use it carefully.
