    Unanswered: Linking Jpegs automatically

    I hope someone can point me in the right direction with this:

    I am designing a job logging system for a printer and he wants to be able to view jpegs of the images to be printed on the job sheet.

    I created an appleshare on the server to allow the Graphics guys (they use macs) to place jpegs of the images in a certain folder and call the file [job_number].jpg - [job_number] is an auto number field that generates the number for each job.

    What I'd like to do is that when you open the job sheet form it checks to see if there is a jpeg with the current job number and links it to the form to allow users to view the image.

    I can check to see if the file exists but I'm at a loss as to how I can link it. I want to avoid manual intervention.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    Thanks

    Found it, I was not using the createlink in my code:

    Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)

    If IsNull(Me.Visual) Then
    If Dir("H:\database\Visuals\" & Me.JOB & ".jpg") <> "" Then
    Me.Visual.SourceDoc = ("H:\Database\Visuals\" & Me.JOB & ".jpg")
    Me.Visual.Action = acOLECreateLink
    End If
    End If

    End Sub

    ("job" is the job number and "Visual" is the ole field)
