Question Unanswered: Good Sites for Beginners

    Hi all,

I just starting to use SQL Server and was wondering if there are any useful websites out there which are focused on beginners - in terms of using the software itself?!

Does anyone know of such a site?

    C.

    Check out...

    http://www.mssqlcity.com

    http://www.microsoft.com/sql/default.asp

    http://vyaskn.tripod.com/programming_faq.htm

    http://www.databasejournal.com/

    http://www.sqlteam.com/

    http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinf...c/70/books.asp

(From here you can download BOL for SQL Server 7, or alternately the link below for SQL Server 2000)

    http://www.microsoft.com/sql/techinf...2000/books.asp

These may provide a good start. I myself have been working with SQL Server for about a week now, and I've found some good stuff at each of these sites...

    An update...

    www.sqlservercentral.com

The above is an excellent site for scripts. I thought I had sent it along before, but didn't.

    www.sswug.org

The above is SQL Server Worldwide User's Group. You'll have limited access to their script library unless you want to pay for that privilege, otherwise there are lots of articles, links, etc.

Note: Have you found any sites that you'd recommend? I'd be interested in hearing about them...

It's not a web site, but I always recommend the DBA Survival Guide (SAMS). There's a version for 7.0 and 2000. Great reading and a greate reference.
