Unhappy Unanswered: Compile err in expression...

Oh, this is killing me! My DB, forms, queries, etc were working just fine untill yesterday when suddenly when I tryed to open a form, nothing happened. Then I found that any query, or form based on a query which includes events with dates are not working.

The err message is "compile err in expression "... WHERE Something <Now(),... I am just filtering records with a date earlier then now, and it was working properly before. In a desparate attempt to fix the thing I even reinstalled Access 2000 -- no change though.

Any suggestions what to do would be highly apreciated.

I just want to add a bit more information.

It seems that Access does not know what the current date is. I made a simple form with a an unbound text field and Data Source: Date() or Now() and in both cases it displays "#Name?". Is there any settings telling Access to use the system clock??? I am really puzzled here...

    Please help.
