    Unanswered: how to disable the recording to log file

    how to disable the recording to log file .
    let's when I doing some updation , i don't want it to be logged in the log file

    I'm assuming by log file your mean your transaction log. I am also assuming that it is becoming to large when you do your update. Try changing the recovery model to maybe simple. Keep in mind it maybe a good idea to take a backup before you change the recovery model.

    Have a read about recovery models in BOL.

    Yes, you will only be able to restore to the last backup. Why do you not wish to log the updates? Will you be performing these updates regularly? Will other users be online while you perform these updates?
