Unanswered: Terminate Load without a file

    Hi,

Is there a way to issue the 'Load.. Terminate' command in Windows OS without specifying an 'actual' file. Like using a NULL file or something.

    Thanks.

Re: Terminate Load without a file

Are you looking for the Windows equivalent of /dev/null ... if so, it is NUL

    ie

LOAD from NUL of del insert into tab1

will load the contents(?) of an empty file into tab1

When I issue the following command ...

LOAD from NUL of del TERMINATE into mytable

    I get ...

SQL3508N Error in accessing a file or path of type "RESTART/TERMINATE INFO" during load or load query. Reason code: "1". Path: ""

    Any idea..

    Hi,

You probably have a sintax error:
NUL parameter must be writhen with semicolon like NUL:

    Try using:
LOAD from NUL: of del TERMINATE into mytable

    Hope this helps,
