Question Unanswered: Data Access Page Recordset

    Hi Folks,

Just wanted to know is there a way for a data access page to open/start on a new record mode, rather than display the first record as it does by default ?

    Private Sub Form_Open(Cancel As Integer)
    DoCmd.GoToRecord acDataForm, Me.Name, acNewRec
    End Sub

Thanks for your quick input, but where exactly would you put this on the data access page / web page ?

Hmm After much research found the solution, just wanted to post it incase someone else was looking for it !

I belive the GoToRecord only works with forms and not with the data access pages .... You should do the following :

Select the Data Access Page and click Design View.
If the property sheet is not displayed, click Properties on the View menu.
With the property sheet open, click Select Page on the Edit menu.
Click the Data tab in the property sheet.
Change the DataEntry property to True.
On the View menu, click Page View.
Note that the data access page opens to a new record.
