    Unanswered: OS authentication&error occurred at recursive SQL level 1

    1.
    I had followed the steps to enable Os authentication on wondows paltform.I got ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied




    set
    os_authent_prefix string ops$

    in my init.ora.


    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)
    in sqlnet.ora file

    I then:

    create user ops$mohan1 identified externally;

    Then mohan1 added to ORA_DBA Local group


    C:\>sqlplus /

    SQL*Plus: Release 8.1.6.0.0 - Production on Thu Mar 13 09:57:02 2003

    (c) Copyright 1999 Oracle Corporation. All rights reserved.

    ERROR:
    ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied




    Please any one what is the cause might be

    Then
    SQL> grant sysdba to mohan1;
    grant sysdba to mohan1

    ORA-00604: error occurred at recursive SQL level 1
    ORA-01422: exact fetch returns more than requested number of rows
    ORA-06512: at line 8
    ORA-01917: user or role 'MOHAN1' does not exist


    Ok there is no mohan1 user ,but why i am getting the above errors

    Looks like the internal data dictionary tables are screwed up.

    Can you post the results of

    "SELECT * FROM sys.props$;"

    My problem is rectified .One of the cloumn in the table small then increase the size of column ,then not giving any type of error.As for you say i am posting the below query results
