    Unanswered: Database Creation Problem

    Hi to all,

    I want to create my database manually,

    For that i start my instance nomount Mode. it is started.

    When i am giving the command Create database Command,

    after sometime i got the error message that

    --
    ORA-01092 ORACLE instance terminated. Disconnection forced
    --

    i tried three time the error is same.

    what is the solution Can anyone help me please.

    Oracle Verion 9.0.2
    OS Version win2000

    I assume you are using a creation script - are you spooling the output to a log file - what does it say?
    If there is nothing informative there, could you attach your creation script and init.ora file.

    Look at your alert log. There should be this error and more information about it.

    It could be you forgot to create password file, there is no %ORACLE_HOME\database init.ora file or link to %ORACLE_HOME\admin\%ORACLE_SID\pfile\init.ora file, etc.
