Hello,
We have started looking after a existing SQL7 sp4 server running on Win2k server sp3. It appears that this server has been upgraded from SQL6.5, but I cannot get much information on what was done on this server.
I thought that it would be best to create a maintenance plan for this server as it looks like it had NEVER been backed up.
When trying to setup the wizard job I am getting all sorts of lovely messages. I have searched high and low to try to find a fix to this known bug, but the M$ technet KB304091 details the exact problem, but the workaround is BS.
When I run the Database maintenance wizard I always get the error
" Microsoft SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState:42522"
Invalid column name 'netsend_address'
Invalid column name 'last_netsend_date'
Invalid column name 'last_netsend_time'

I read somewhere to run :
SELECT * from msdb.dbo.sysjobs
WHERE job_id IN (80,81,82,83)

and the results I get are:
Server: Msg 206, Level 16, State 2, Line 1
Operand type clash: int is incompatible with uniqueidentifier
Server: Msg 206, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Operand type clash: int is incompatible with uniqueidentifier
Server: Msg 206, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Operand type clash: int is incompatible with uniqueidentifier
Server: Msg 206, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Operand type clash: int is incompatible with uniqueidentifier

I am not a SQL engineer, but this problem is driving me nuts and I want it fixed, please help as all I want to do is automate the maintenance of this server.
Thanks
Malcolm
