    Angry Unanswered: export data from UDB server to main frame

    Does anyone know the best way to do this? I'n new to the server world

    Assuming that DB2 is running on the mainframe, look into the EXPORT and IMPORT commands.

    Catalog your Mainframe database on Unix or Windows box.
    Use the Export command and export the data.

    Hi,

    Try using db2look command to generate DDL commands. Then export the data and then load the data (load instread of import is 1000 times faster).
