    Unanswered: dbexport & dbimport error

    Hi,

    OS - W2K Server SP3
    Informix - IDS 9.3

    When I do
    dbexport <dbname > -ss , I get error on the dbexport file the error is

    insert into syserrors values ("UGEN2", "en_us.1252", 0, 1, 'Memory allocation has failed in %FUNCTION%.');
    insert into syserrors values ("UGEN3", "en_us.1252", 0, 1, 'Error creating large object from client file in %FUNCTION%.');

    insert into syserrors values ("UGEN5", "en_us.1252", 0, 1, 'Error creating large object from client file in %FUNCTION%.');
    insert into syserrors values ("UGEN6", "en_us.1252", 0, 1, 'Error saving large object to client file in %FUNCTION%.');
    insert into syserrors values ("UGEN7", "en_us.1252", 0, 1, 'Double-quoted string expected in %FUNCTION%.');

    and so on ...


    What cause this error ?? and how do overcome this..

    The correct syntax to use dbexport is:

    dbexport <database> [-X] [-c] [-q] [-d] [-ss]
    [{ -o <dir> | -t <tapedev> -b <blksz> -s <tapesz> [-f <sql-command-file>] }]

    You don't need a < nor a > sign.

    You should look at the runtime rrors generated to see what the real problem is.
