    Unanswered: list databases

    Hello!
    What's the command in sqlplus to list all databases in the server ?
    I use Oracle 8.1.5 in a Linux Box.

    Hi

    No such command in SQL*Plus exists.


    You'll have to cat /etf/oratab file on the os.

    look at the tnsnames.ora file and extract all the sid entries

    Thanks, but...

    Sorry,
    I want to see all tablespaces in the server.
    The tablespaces aren't in the oratab file.
    The server have only one database and a lot of tablespaces.

    select tablespace_name from all_tables group by tablespace_name;

    select tablespace_name from dba_data_files group by tablespace_name;
