Unhappy Unanswered: how to create a Progress database greater than 2G

I have a Progress 6.1 DBMS, but as the data volumn growths, we need to have bigger database file. But when the .db file growths over 2Gb, the database shutdown by itself. So I have to clean the data periodically.
Anyone knows how to extend the database, pls. give me a hand.

    Thanks in advance.

You need to convert your Database to a multivolume database. Each volumne can then be a maximum of 2GB. See chapter 6 of the System Admin Manual Vol 1 for details.

Note that V6 is VERY old, and total unsupported. If at all possible, I would stronly recommend moving to a current version (9.1 for most platforms).

If you need more help, email me off-line.
