Is there a way that I can push a button from an access form and have outlook open up ready to send an email to an email address that was listed as one of the records in the access form?
Sure! Use SendObject. Ex.:
DoCmd.SendObject , , , "ToJohn@doe.com;ToBill@doe.com","CcMary@doe.co m" ,"BccSue@doe.com" , "Subject", "Message", True
or, for your needs:
DoCmd.SendObject , , , Me!MyEmailAddressFieldName, , , , , True
Hope this helps,
It seems to work now but if a user happens to close the email message before typing in an actual message and sending it access gives the following error:
"Run-time error 2501
The sendobject action was canceled."
Is there a way to remove this message?
I tried adding "DoCmd.SetWarnings False" but it didn't work.
I got the error figured out. But it does seem to take Outlook a longer than usual amount of time to open up. Is this normal? It also prompts for a profile to use. This doesn't normally come up when I open Outlook on it's own.
