I have a fileserver containing a mdb (data) and several workstations with local mdb's (forms, reports etc.), linked on a (switched) 100mbit network. When the first user opens the database, speed is just nice. But for the second user, it takes many seconds, if not minutes, to open the application. Once it's open, working speed is passable.
The database itself is quite complex (many tables with relations). Does anybody have an idea how I could decrease the startup time? Or is this just a property of access databases with multiuser access that you have to live with? I am even considering to switch to MSDE to avoid this startup delay.
Note: I already checked LDB locking, sub datasheet Name property and track name AutoCorrect, as discussed in other posts
