    Unanswered: oracle connections history

    Hi,

    I know i can get all current connection to oracle and info on it using a query.
    something like this:
    select username, machine from v$session;

    how can i manage to get all historic connections to oracle. That is even after a user disconnects i should be able to get his connection information (ex./- connection machine).

    You could use an AFTER LOGON trigger to record the information in a table.

    Go on the DB server and change to $TNS_ADMIN directory. The listener.ora file contains all the connections (both successful and failed).

    You can awk and grep for the information you need it.

    Hope that helps,
