    Unanswered: Sybase ERROR

    Hi,

Can someone point out the reason behind the error message found on the sybase errorlog, could not locate the description on the sysmessages table

    server Error: 3602, Severity: 25, State: 5

    Thanks

I've not experienced this myself, but I've found 2 examples of it via Google:

Sybase Bug ID 140171 A 3602 error (with severity 25, state 5 and no message text) may be inadvertently reported in the error log as a side effect of deadlocks.

You don't say what version of Sybase you are running, but this was fixed in Sybase 11.5.1.1

    The other one is:

"We are not able to create any tables in out Production Server!!

    Message returned to client:
    Msg 11202, Level 16, State 1:
    Server 'SYB017', Line 1:
Unable to create table 'tull' because it has no remote storage location
    defined.
Creation of local user tables is allowed only in the master and tempdb
    databases."

Not sure if either of these help you. good luck.

Thanks Allan. The sybase version is 11.5.1
Might be due to the side effect of a deadlock as you pointed out.
