    Question Unanswered: number format?

    hey there,

i'd like to store a decimal number.

it can be up to 5 characters in length. with up to 2 dec places.

    eg. 23456
    or. 23.45

i originally used number(5,2) but this excludes numbers that look like 23456.

    any suggestions?
