Question Unanswered: return values between particular charachters in a string

    Hi,

I have a string returned from a database query, in the string there are areas e.g.

this is my [string] and some parts of it are [surrounded by square] brackets

Is there an easy way to return the values that are within the square brackets?

    Thanks

Paste this into a grid column on your query,
replacing all occurances of NewFieldNameOfYourChoice, [YourTableName], and [YourFieldName]
with the appropriate names (sorry it's so long):
    Code:
    NewFieldNameOfYourChoice: Mid$([YourTableName].[YourFieldName],InStr([YourTableName].[YourFieldName],"[")+1,InStr([YourTableName].[YourFieldName],"]")-InStr([YourTableName].[YourFieldName],"[")-1)
