    Unanswered: Wierd DB s

    Best if i explain this in an example, this is all via ASP code

    Imagine a table like this

    TABLE : tblBands
    FIELDS : bandID, bandName

    When i query SELECT * FROM tblBands and try to use bandNAme first, then bandID, the bandID field is blank.

    But if i query SELECT bandName, bandID FROM tblBands, it works fine.

    I don't think this ever used to happen... I open the DB connection like this

    Set objConn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
    objConn.ConnectionString = "UID=xxxx;DSN=xxx;PWD=xxx"
    objConn.Open

    Any ideas what is going on?

    Question

    When you wrote "...and try to use bandNAme first, then bandID...", what do you mean exactly? Is your problem occuring when you reference it in VBScript, such as rst("bandID")

    Yes, in vbscript, like objRS("BandName")

    Wow...as you wrote, very weird!

    I'll see if I can come up with other ideas...I'll post them if I do. Write back if you determine what caused it.
