    Unanswered: Missing Logs

    Hi there,
we are testing a recovery scenario and having serious problems with online backups.
We only have online backups and if the logfiles are missing completly, what can we do? after restoring, the db still won´t become online. On S/390 there are a couple of commands (START .. ACC(FORCE), REPAIR DATABASE and so on), but what to do on NT?
We know, there was no transaction running while taking the backup, but some permanent connections stop us from taking offline backups.

Can we somehow "repair" the database? Any suggestions?

    Thx

I have had this issue on AIX. Contact support and send them the files SQLOGCTL.LFH (from each node in a partitioned environment) which are in the database directory - they reset them and send them back to you and this lets the database come back up. There may be no transactions running while the backup is running but the database may not have committed all previous transactions.
