    Cool Unanswered: out of lock (severity 17)

    Hello All
    I have got error message but I couldn't understand.What Does it mean . It was not display number error . My sybase is Adaptive Server Enterprise/11.9.2/1075/P/Linux Intel/Linux 2.2.5 i586/OPT .It show error that

    I am not sure abount out of locks .Is it involve Number of locks's parameter or not ? I want to monitor when It had occur error . Please sugget me snapshot parameter and explain out of lock (severity 17) . Thank you so much

    Well you are right the parameter 'number of locks' is what is too small in this case.

    However 75,000 is quite a bit and should be more than enough... But it sounds like your table may be row-locking and not have an index?

    Could you provide the CREATE TABLE and CREATE INDEX statements for this table and about how many rows you have in it? That way we can tune the SQL statement.

    Cool How can I check parameter

    Thank you for receipt of note . I want to know how check values of number of lock. If number of lock is less. How many will I increase parameter. Anyone who can know get snapshot ,please tell me
