    Unanswered: Imp /exp

Exported a full Oracle 8i db from a wins2000 sever, using:

    exp test/2test2@test full=y file=expdat.dmp log=testexp.log
No reported errors in the dump.

Build a new instance on the DB to import this db dump. Exported db of size 960M and Instance of size 4000M, user test2 with imp/exp rights.

Used imp to import this dump into the new instance.
    imp test/test@test fromuser=test touser=test2 log=testimp.log

Import: Release - Production on Fri Apr 4 13:06:51 2003

Export file created by EXPORT:V08.01.07 via conventional path

Warning: the objects were exported by TEST2, not by you

import done in WE8ISO8859P15 character set and WE8ISO8859P15 NCHAR character set
    Import terminated successfully without warnings.

But no tables have been imported and no errors returned.

Can't see anything obvious, Any ideas?

    Thanks in advice

the export was done by test2 as reported in the log
ensure you are doning the imp either with the user who has done the exp or use sys / system to do it with options fromuser ... touser

    Thanks for that.
What I did was just export the owners details and tablespaces, then imported these using the from and to user:

Exporting the tablespaces concerned with TFM user:

    exp tfm/tfm@test owner=tfm file=expdat1.dmp log=testexp1.log

Importing the setup into the test Table Space.

    imp test/test@test fromuser=tfm touser=test file=expdat1.dmp log=testimp1.log

    This seems to work fine.

    Thanks for the help.

    Cheers Nick
