    Post Unanswered: sql loader and LOB (CLOB)

    Hello, everybody!
    I am trying to run one of the examples given in sql loader documentation about loading LOBs
    Here is the table definition:

    create table loadlob
    (myname varchar2(20),
    myresume clob default empty_clob()
    );

    here is my control file for sqlldr:
    LOAD DATA
    INFILE 'D:\LOB\sample.dat'
    INTO table "LOADLOB"
    FIELDS terminated by ","
    (myname char(20),
    ext_fname FILLER char(90),
    "MYRESUME" LOBFILE(ext_fname) TERMINATED BY EOF)

    and here is my sample data file with 1 line
    Speed Racer, 'D:\LOB\srresume.txt'

    My environment: W2K Server, Oracle9i
    I run the followitn command from DOS prompt:
    sqlldr dbuser/psswd control=loadlob.ctl
    I am getting the following errors:
    SQL*Loader-502: unable to open data file ' 'D:\LOB\srresume.txt'' for field "MYRESUME"
    table LOADLOB
    SQL*Loader-554: error opening file
    SQL*Loader-509: System error: The device does not recognize the command.

    All files are in the same directory and I am running sqlldr from that directory.
    Could anybody help! Thanks a lot in advance!

    Peter.

    Remove from your sample data file the ' characters (it would look like this):
    Speed Racer, D:\LOB\srresume.txt

    Cheers,
    Kostas.

    Remove the double quote marks from this line INTO table "LOADLOB"
    You can lead some folks to knowledge, but you can not make them think.
    The average person thinks he's above average!
    For most folks, they don't know, what they don't know.
