    Unanswered: Deinstalling Oracle8i from Unix

Does anyone know how to uninstall Oracle8i completely from my Unix box? I am not talking about OUI to uninstall it. I want any and all the parts or remnants of Oracle8i completely deleted from my machine so I can do a brand new and clean install as if Oracle8i had never been installed on my machine.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Here is what you can do:

    1. $ rm -rf ORACLE_HOME (for the Oracle version you want to remove)

    2. remove this db entry in /var/opt/oracle/oratab file.

    Hope that helps,
