Unanswered: Trapping Raiserror via ODBC: Differences executing SP on SQL Server 7.0 and MSDE2000
I have written a stored procedure that has an RAISERROR-Statement with a userdefinded message text and severity 16.
When I execute the SP in Query Analyser everything works fine.
When I execute the SP via an ODBC-Call (e.g. MS Query or an ADO-Connection in VB) I get different results depending on the version of SQL Server the SP is running on.
I can trap the error message if the SP is running on SQL Server 7.0 but when I'm using MSDE 2000 I receive no error message at all.
I'm using ODBC driver version 3.80.194 to connect to both databases.
As i mentioned above, when using QA the error message is shown in both cases.
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
