Unanswered: upload data from local computer to the web server
I want to upload my exiting SQL Server 2000 database to on a hosted Web Server.
my database name is "emp_records" i want to upload it on web server through FTP softwares.
How can i do ????
Please Help me?????
Are you sending it to another SQL Server? Or are you sending it to a MySQL Server?
Thank you for the Time,
I want send it on mySQL server.
but my my exiting Database is on SQL Server 2000 on local computer. i want to send it on mySQL Server through FTP Sftware.
Sounds like fun. Take a look at SQL Server's bcp utility, and MySQL's LOAD DATA command.
I have backup the database in my C:/backup/filename.
Now where i upload it in Web Server Directory.
If i upload it on local user created directory.. Is It work or not???
It shouldn't matter where you upload it to. What matters is how you execute the LOAD DATA command from within MySQL. You'll need to define the tables first with CREATE TABLE statements.
Already my database has tables and each table have a lot of data so I dont want to create table in web server.
Read up on MySQL's LOAD DATA command.
