    Unhappy Unanswered: Duplicates in Report

    I am creating a report that is outputting a count of the totals for the fields based on a type.

    For example:

    Record 1 - Type: A 1 0 1 1 0 1
    Record 2 - Type: B 1 1 0 1 0 1
    Record 3 - Type: A 1 0 1 0 1 0

    If I create a report based on Type A, I want:

    Type: A 2 0 2 1 1 1

    What I get is:

    Type: A 2 0 2 1 1 1
    Type: A 2 0 2 1 1 1

    I realize this is because there are two records, but if I limit the count of the records in the query, the count changes as well.

    HELP!

    TIA,

    Hirk

    The fog was lifted... Thanks for thinking about it though!

    Assuming that
    Type: A 1 0 1 1 0 1

    Field1 = A
    Field2 = 1
    Field3 = 0
    Field4 = 1
    .....

    If this is the case - run the wizzard to create a report.
    Group on Field1
    Click on the Summary options and Sum all other fields.
    Create the report and drag the Field1 text box to the grouping Footer section which contains the summarized data. Delete all the other crap you dont want and collapse the other sections.
