    In oracle8i we hav svrmgrl , but wt is it Oracle9i.

    A manual springs to mind .....

    svrmgrl is obsolete in Oracle 9i +

    use
    sqlplus '/ as sysdba'[return]

    open the command prompt (CMD)

    c:> cd \ora92\
    c:> sqlplusw "sys/password as sysdba"

    this open sql plus.

    Also you can run scripts as
    sqlplus connect_string @script.sql
