    Unanswered: Form Base Query....

    Please see attach database....

    Current situation
    1. Macro (Mcr_Qry_My_Team_Leader) using query "qry_rpt_team_leader_completed" for output.
    > End user has to put start and ending date
    > End user has to put Manager name
    > Then the Macro Runs (Mcr_Qry_My_Team_Leader)

    New Situation
    2. What do I want?
    > A Form
    > Start and End text box
    > A drop down for manager (tbl_manager)
    > Then the Macro Runs (Mcr_Qry_My_Team_Leader)

    So, all of the job for current situation should be taken care of New Situation.

    sample database

    here's a sample database that i created that builds a dynamic query based on the data within the fields. everytime you run the query, it rebuilds the query for you.

    if there is no data within any of the fields, the search returns everything.

    let me know if you have any other questions.

    Last suggession did not work...

    1. Please open the database
    2. Look at the macro (1st runs query then export to file)
    3. currently when u run the macro it prompt for start date, end date and finally manager name.
    4. I just don't like traditional query pop-ups.
    ====================================
    My ultimate goal
    1. create a form (which I just did frm_report) - Please see the form
    2. I would Like to create three buttons
    A. Button1: export to file (same as macro - i guess)
    B. Button2: Print to screen (like report)
    C. Button3: Print to Printer or Print Hardcopies
    =====================================
    Can this be achieve? I would really appreciated any help on this. I have almost done the work. All I need activate this button. [event procedure] codes.

    =====================================
    MANY THANKS IN ADVANCE. // dORAN

    Here's you go

    OK, I've modified the form to allow you to Export, Print Preview & Print from one form. You'll need to modify the report to layout correctly but everything should work properly for you. Let me know if you have any questions or problems.

    forgot to say

    i forgot to say;

    1. the query is a dynamically drive. the user will input the required information into the form and those values are then passed to the query via VB script. it will change evertime you select input values.

    2. a have several modules that are related to the export of data to an excel file. this will allow you to select the path and file name. don't delete any of the modules or it will not work.

    3. the print is run off of a VB code and not macro. i find that VB runs better.

    well, let me know if you need anything else.
