    Unanswered: can you bind the unbound

    basicly i've got a query that flags any records that are missing in one table and shows them on a form i then want to give each record a check box that remembers the value for that record then on a button click append all the checked record to another table

    now i can do all this except get the check box to remember the values

    any ideas on how to do this

    You could try setting the default value to the current value:

    me.FieldName.DelfatValue = me.FieldName

    that in no way changes the fact that the check box (that has a default of false until the user changes it) can only hold 1 value per form not 1 value per record.

    if you want a nice simple example of what i'm trying to do go in to a web bases email client (ie yahoo) most have a check box next to each email and a button(s) marked select all/deselect all and a delete button what i'm after is the same type of thing a check box on each record that allow the user to select it, a select all button at the bottom and a action button that appends all the selected record to another table,
    i can do all of this perfectly apart from the chech box

    to get around this problem at the minute i have to dump the query results into a table, add the check box field, to the table work on the form and then delete the table and i'd like a better method of doing this
