    Unanswered: minimize a window

    How do I minimize a forms window from within another form. I use the following but Access doesn't seem to like it.

    [forms]![frmMain_Menu].docmd.minimize

    if docmd.minimize accepted arguments (it doesn't), they would trail rather than lead.
    Code:
    DoCmd.Minimize Forms!FrmMenu 'ILLEGAL SYNTAX: THIS LINE DOES NOT WORK
    the Minimise method applies only to the active window.

    another false hope:
    Code:
    Forms!frmMenu.anyControlName.SetFocus
    DoCmd.Minimize                 'minimizes Me, not frmMenu
    and to add to your joy, the Activeform property is read only!

    why not settle for Forms!frmMenu.hide instead?

    if you are really desperate to emulate minimize, i guess you could fake a mini-form that looks like your frmMenu in minimized state, hide frmMenu, show the fake, and intercept clicks on the fake to hide the fake and show frmMenu again... seems a lot of work for a dubious result

    you could try this (i haven't it's pure guess work, personaly i'd just hide it)

    dim temp as form
    form = me
    forms!frmMain_Menu.setfocus
    docmd.minimize
    temp.setfocus
