Unhappy Unanswered: Help - Admin server down

I can connect to the TOOLSDB and run SQL..... But when I try to stop the server "DB2ADMIN STOP" I get this message:

SQL22212N A DB2 Administration Server communication error has been detected. Client system: "111.111.111.111". Server system "111.111.111.111".

DB2ADMIN START says the server is started, but Task Center fails via SQL4414N - The DB2 Admin server is not active

I'm not much of a system administrator, what exactly can I do to find the real problem?

Re: Help - Admin server down

    Hi,

I have also the the error message SQL22212N ! And I found on the IBM-site something interesting: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview...f-8&lang=en+en

    I hope it helps?!
And if you want to activate your database, try this:

    db2 activate database name_of_the_database

    and with

    db2 list active databases

you can list all active databases....

    Ciao

    solved

I solved the db2admin problem by removing it and recreating it.

    db2admin stop
    db2admin drop
    db2admin create
    db2admin start
