Dear Readers,

Please help me to find this clarification

As per the concept we can give the maxextents FOR A TABLE less than the oracle block size and when the maxextend size is reached we can alter the table with the NEXT parameter alone .

Now my questions is why we are not altering the initial parameter. WIll the initial parameter change or not. Any drop in the performance ?

Next is the size of sort_area =65536. Now what is this 65536 ref. to . Is it the max size of the RAW datatype in oracle or is there any other underlying concept.

Please mail me at :

Thanks and regards
